Physiofit gives local athletes £7,500 of free support

Physiofit has a long history of developing young growing athletes. In 2014, they launched their first Search for a Star campaign offering a sponsorship package to a local athlete giving them free access to physiotherapy and strength and conditioning to help them reach their sporting potential.

This year's Physiofit Search for a Star campaign has been a huge success with an extremely high standard of young sporting stars applying. The judges who include Michael Vaughan (ex-England Cricket Captain) and Angie Jackson (Director of Physiofit) have made several awards in Gold, Silver and Bronze categories.

Angie Jackson Director of Physiofit said “the standard of applicants was extremely high, making our job really difficult as having read each application many times over the dedication and determination that shone through in each athlete meant many of them would have been worthy winners”.

The awards have been made based on current performances, future potential and the references. The awards all include a Physiofit sports specific screening helping them identify and correct any restrictions and weaknesses they might have, free access to our Junior core classes, Physiofit kit plus different further levels of free access to our physio and sports rehabilitation services.

Michael Vaughan said, “I am delighted to be involved in this programme, it is giving help, support and mentoring to talented sports men and women at a crucial stage of their development, I wish everyone who applied great success”.
