Nordic Walking

Walking is good for our health but research suggests that walking with Nordic poles reduces stress on joints by 30% and burns up to 40% more calories

What are the benefits?

  • Nordic walking deploys approximately 90 per cent of your muscles

  • High intensity Nordic walking can burn more calories an hour than dancing, jogging, cycling and even playing football.

  • Nordic Walking may benefit those recovering from surgery, injuries, arthritis and some neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease.

  • Nordic Walking and has been proven to lower body mass index in 12 weeks.

  • Nordic walkers report improvements in their posture, as the poles encourage you to walk with your head held high, rather than slumped over.

Physiofit led Nordic walking gives you the added confidence that you are in the safe hands of an experienced physiotherapist competent in taking care of all your health needs.
